Our staff have lived, worked and studied in a variety of different countries and speak a number of languages. No matter what industry they have worked in, Gisma’s staff all bring something unique to the organisation.
Claudia Wittman teaches Corporate Reporting and Academic Writing. After studying in Mannheim and Kiel in Germany, Iceland and California, she obtained a master’s degree in the US and has taught in Germany, Japan, the US, Mexico, and New Zealand.
Previously, she worked as a Lecturer at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht) and her academic focus lies in Business Administration and Finance.
Her professional work has seen her spend time in Iceland, Germany, Central America and the USA.
Dr. Renata Thiébaut is Professor and Research Director at Gisma University of Applied Sciences and brings an impressive combination of academic excellence and global practical experience.
Abeera has over a decade of experience in academic and quality management within the higher education sector. Coming from a background in humanitarian jurisprudence and commercial law, Abeera worked as a lawyer before joining Global University Systems (GUS) in 2009.
Gayatri joined the International Student Support department in 2019. She assists students by providing advice on international immigration.
Gayatri holds a Master’s in International Tourism Management and previously worked for major corporations such as GROB-Werke, Thomas Cook and Flight Centre.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce with a specialization in Management and is originally from Mumbai, India.
Prof. Dr. Sara Ravan Ramzani joined Gisma in October 2022. Sara has several years of experience as a principal lecturer, programme team leader and postgraduate director at international universities in Berlin, Malaysia and Singapore.
In January 2022, Tilmann relocated to the Berlin-Brandenburg area working now as Professor for International Business Management at Gisma University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam.
Jevgenij joined Gisma University of Applied Sciences Berlin in 2020 as a Senior Programme Manager. Prior to that he had been working with the Student Recruitment Team in London for three years. His initial role was as a course advisor and later as team manager, managing teams of up to 30 people across multiple locations.
