Prof. Dr. Anastasia Kiritsi
Prof. Dr. Anastasia Kiritsi is a distinguished academic and industry expert with a multifaceted career spanning over a decade across Europe and the Middle East. She is an Associate Professor of HR, Business, and Leadership at Gisma University of Applied Sciences. At Gisma, she teaches both bachelor’s and master’s programmes in HR, Business, and Leadership. Additionally, she contributes to the Dual Degree Master’s programmes in International Business and International Management offered jointly by Kingston University UK and Gisma.
Specialising in the application of artificial intelligence to transform airports and ports into smart multimodal hubs, Prof. Dr. Kiritsi brings a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise to her interactive classes. She enriches the learning experience by incorporating cross-cultural leadership insights and regularly invites C-level executives from top international brands as guest speakers.
Beyond academia, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Editorial Board at Swiss Business School Zurich. She is also a juror at the BPW Investment Bank of Berlin and an Advisory Board member at the World Tourism Forum. Prof. Dr. Kiritsi contributes her expertise as a member of the Advisory Council at the Harvard Business Review. As the business owner of Consuleny Trading & Investment Company based in Berlin and an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, she bridges the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications.
A confident public speaker, she frequently addresses international forums on critical topics such as digitalisation, technology, green investments, green finance, and sustainability. Her multidisciplinary background encompasses the shipping industry, international relations, energy economics, EU sociology, marketing, and tourism. Prof. Dr. Kiritsi is known for her energetic commitment to problem-solving and her enthusiasm for embracing challenges.
Her international experience includes over ten years of professional engagements in Greece, the UK, France, Qatar, Dubai, and Germany. Academically, she holds a PhD focusing on artificial intelligence in transportation hubs. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Athens University and an MBA with a specialisation in Marketing from Hellenic-American University and Tulane University, USA. Additionally, she holds certifications from IATA and ACCA, a Master’s degree in European Sociology from the University of the Aegean in Maritime Studies, and an MSc in Energy Law from Athens University of Economics, specialising in sustainable energy legal frameworks.
